Hi!

This PR fixes session clearing (see first commit) and removes some code duplication (see second commit).

I'm sorry I did not lreview this library for a long time. The library is working fine for me after all this time This PR went unnoticed so far ... Thank you very much for your contribution ! I'll produce a new release in september. now I'm on holidays :-)
