Name the new concept Time series analysis

Describe the concept This is a general container for all time series analysis methods: search for periodicities (star pulsations, exoplanets, pulsars), characterize astronomical timeseries based on variability

Describe where the concept fits within the existing hierarchy Astronomical techniques seems an appropriate parent topic

Provide 1-3 supporting articles 1976tsaf.conf.....B 1982ApJ...263..835S 2008LRR....11....8L

Please include any additional comments/feedback Time series analysis is a clear keyword that encompasses a huge amount of today's research techniques, not only in Astronomy. It is not related to a single wavelength, these techniques are used at all wavelenghts with just a few adaptations.
