Two potentially related concepts exist, "Solar chromospheric heating" and "Solar coronal heating." Neither of the concepts above, nor Solar wind heating, was brought up at Heliophysics VoCamp, though a new potential concept "Joule heating" was introduced. [only pointing this out because it may not be obvious from how my notes are structured]
I would be curious in finding if there is a relationship between these various "heating" concepts, and also would seek advice from attendees of VoCamp regarding the placement of this concept in the hierarchy.
Name the new concept solar wind heating
Describe the concept In Issue #263, @MihailoMartinovic suggested Solar wind heating but did not provide any detail
Describe where the concept fits within the existing hierarchy Possibilty Solar physics --> Solar wind --> Solar wind heating
Provide 1-3 supporting articles In Issue #263 (2020 comment), @katieefrey indicated solar wind heating had less than 1k mentions, now appears to be over 3k NASA SciX full text search for "solar wind heating" in referred literature in the astronomy collection
Please include any additional comments/feedback I am opening this issue to address further discussion of Solar wind heating.
