Is "Diffuse radiation" a valid concept? Perhaps this a need scope note or definition.

katieefrey commented 6 years ago

vague, considering for deprecation.

"Diffuse radiation is solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface after having been scattered from the direct solar beam by molecules or particulates in the atmosphere. Also called sky radiation, diffuse skylight, or just skylight, it is the determinative process for changing the colors of the sky." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diffuse_sky_radiation

might fit better under, or at least related to, Earth's atmosphere?

Moved to child of "Earth atmosphere" as it seems to fit there better. Would be open to moving again or deprecating in the future should that be needed.
