Should just be: Cosmic microwave background radiation (http://astrothesaurus.org/uat/322)

non-pref forms: Cosmic background radiation CMB

Prefer term might be "Cosmic microwave background."

Potentially useful to leave "Cosmic background radiation" as an umbrella concept for CMB, "Cosmic neutrino background" and "Gravitational wave background," but I doubt it.
