Curvy road icon proposal #150

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Hello, here is a curvy road icon... I understood that I had to get rid of
the most transparent pixels in designing mapicons. Hope you'll like it.

s I said, I really like your icons! Yes, you should try to use less
transparency in
your previous icons, but you can still use it! I use it in 100% of my icons,
but I
normally try to limit the amount of pixels and even more the amount of different
transparency levels, you understand what I mean? For example I use 25%, 50%
75& and
100%, no others. I think you should make the road fade away, also using
transparency. //Matthias

What is the technique to only have 25% 50% 75% transparency ? Brush fill ?

The method I use in Paint.net is to set the Transparency/Alpha on the brush or
pencil, just like you suggest. I try to use 64, 128, 192 as alternatives to 255.

You are almost there, sorry to be such a pain. I want the road to start fading
away
at 2/3 of it, to get a better perspective feeling. Now it's only the edge that
is
fading, I want it to start earlier, 1/3 down. OK?

Hmmm, yes, that is exactly what I was looking for, but I'm not sure it came
across as
good as I was hoping for. I think we should go for Thierry's very first
design, OK?

Matthias, I think I prefer my fading away road, but maybe the dots on the road
aren't
that good.

If I take dots of Thierry and paste them on my road ?

Thierry,

Add the first one to the collection, i think it's good enough. If we want to
update
it at some point we can still just overwrite it. Don't you agree?

Regards,

Matthias
