Font Awesome 5 Icons not showing up. #1

Describe the bug

Font Awesome Icons are missing on the main menu for drop down items.

Additional context

Font Awesome v5 is being loaded by the site but the icons are being called within the CSS for the site. Either need to load the web fonts in addition to the JS files, or call the icons differently from within the markup. (Second version preferred.)

Working to remove the CSS dependency for the Font Awesome 5 library. Would rather see the icons rendered as SVG objects for accessibility reasons. AFAIK, this is the only place within the project in which we tried to reference these icons in this way.
