Build works , but after reboot modprobe doesn't list it

Builds fine and install fines , but after reboot I can't modprobe the module (it doesn't detect it).

I am following the guide , using void linux so some stuff is different like for example:

dracut , instead of initramfs.

But in short , I am doing :

• make
• make install
• added the module blacklist to grub default cmd line and to /etc/modprobe.d/sdcard.conf
• xbps-reconfigure -f linux5.8 ( this one rebuilds the dracut and grub)
• depmod -a

Solution

Simply blacklist the modules at boot first , then install as guided ( after rebooting of course).
