[📑 Docs]: Gather community vote to finalize interactive learning path hosting platform #1521

What Dev Docs changes are you proposing?

As part of Google Season of Docs 2023 at AsyncAPI, we're going to create a 100-level interactive learning path.

Our only educational content is static AsyncAPI documentation; the community needs more engaging and interactive ways to learn AsyncAPI concepts and architecture. To make learning AsyncAPI more accessible and enjoyable, we propose creating interactive learning paths that incorporate best practices. Our solution is to create interactive learning paths with engaging videos, gamification elements, immersive storylines with eLearning characters, badges, quizzes, points systems, etc.

➡️ This task belongs to the following Docs EPIC: https://github.com/asyncapi/website/issues/1520.

Hosting platform choices for community vote

To date, we have two viable options for hosting our new interactive learning paths:

  1. add to Killercoda AsyncAPI profile
  2. add to Linux Foundation interactive content

What will this task cover?

Gather community vote via current and/new public GitHub discussions to determine the preferred hosting platform for the interactive learning path.

As far as I can observe, Killercoda has minimalistic design, you just have to sign-in/sign-up and get started right-away. edX on the other hand has a more professional design and is an established as a trustworthy site for learning new things/technologies. We can see that the Linux Foundation is also hosting their courses on edX.

I will vote for edX 😃

📢 It's time to conclude the public vote, as it has been open for over a month, allowing the community sufficient time to finalize their votes. With a majority of votes in favor of the Killercoda platform, we will now shift our focus towards creating the 2023 GSoD Learning Path in Killercoda. Once the content is developed in Killercoda, we can repurpose and share it on the Linux Foundation platform.

It's important to note that the scope of the GSoD work solely involves implementing it on one platform. Adding the content to the Linux Foundation at a later stage will be a separate task, independent of the 2023 GSoD writers' responsibilities.
