Tech - Database - Connections / Pool

As a system administrator I want to make sure our application properly opens/manages connections to the database, in order to make use of resources effectively, and performance is not negatively impacted

• This will require research regarding the way mongo and mongoose manage connections.

  • E.g.: evaluate if we need to handle ("connected", "error", "disconnected", etc) events emitted this way: mongoose.connection.on([eventName], function{}) )
