Merge master into fake_pid #176

The fake_pid branch recently stopped compiling for me on newer kernel versions, so I thought I should merge the latest adjustments in master into it to make things easier for users who might not be that familiar with git.

But please feel free to discard this PR if it's too trivial.

This should become obsolete with https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo/pull/178: I think we no longer need a fake_pid option with my reworked code design. Could you test?

I'm closing this because it conflicts with master. If you still feel like you need it (the feature has been removed), feel free to rebase and reopen.
