Description I've been unsuccessfully trying to connect Xbox series X controller to my Linux box wirelessly, using bluetooth, xpadneo driver. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in that "Troubleshooting" documentation page, but none of them helped. Controller basically connects and disconnects immediately without any more logs or information. It's literally connect-and-disconnect loop going indefinitely...

Fix The only fix that worked to me is to get Windows 10 (or presumably - Xbox might work too?), download Xbox Accessories from Microsoft store and update Xbox controller firmware using that app. Controller must be connected via USB cable.

Comments I believe this information should be mentioned in the "Troubleshooting" documentation page as I've wasted the whole evening trying to understand where is the issue, when the issue was not Linux-related at all...

Note that the same firmware update procedure applicable to Series S controller as well. Not sure about other controllers.
