I personally see no value in Android Studio, so I don't want to merge just this change alone. Without actual functional changes this is useless to me.

Well, I can't be sure that there is going to be followup. It may be easier to just finish the whole thing.

I'm not all that interested in developing this further that what is already there, it does more than I need. I don't really want to spend a lot of time reviewing the changes.

In fact, if your version will end up being better, I'll just use it as is :)
