look into littlevgl #7

maybe use littlevgl for more stable gui stuff this would rely on #5 working and not eating too much current

evidently, if you are using a keypad / encoder, you can only focus on the next or previous widget. there doesn't seem to be a way to focus on a widget underneath or above, so implementing 4 direction navigation might be kind of difficult (unless everything uses button matrices)
