Creating new directory inside an existing dir: doesn't show up in Chocolat #1595

markchagers commented 10 years ago

When I create a new directory inside an existing directory using the context menu, the new directory is not visible after it's created. It doesn't show up until I quit and reopen chocolat and the project.

Version 2.3 (2.3) OSX 10.9.3

Similarly: new files created through the context menu will show up after creation, but files that are dragged into the project folder outside Chocolat will not show up until after a restart of the program.

Also, adding an extension to a filename doesn't register properly. When I change a file name without extension to a .js file, the file's icon will continue to display as a generic file icon, and syntax coloring will not work. After a restart everything is normal.

+1 I noticed this, really annoying me.

It seems like it's a new thing, because it worked before.

+1, Even in Chocolat 3b3 still happens, sidebar doesn't update when changed from outside the app, is a real pain.

tirdadc commented 10 years ago

+1, it doesn't matter if I create a folder or delete a file locally, the sidebar just doesn't seem to refresh to reflect the change. I'm using version 2.3.

Any progress on this? Still happens in the final v3. It's the only thing keeping me from buying Chocolat :(

Is this fixed now? I haven't had any problems with it

tirdadc commented 9 years ago

It doesn't seem to be fixed in 3.1.1. If it can't be done automatically, a contextual menu 'refresh' action would be appreciated.

@tirdadc can you try 3.1.2? I just tried reproducing the bug and it worked properly. When I used to get this, folding and expanding a parent directory would be enough to refresh it.
