Chocolat refuses to run on Yosemity #1652

Beware, apparently Chocolat gets updated to a version that is non-free on Yosemity. After upgrading to Yosemity you can no longer use the app without paying for the upgrade. No option to downgrade to the previous version as far as I can see

2.3 doesn't run on Yosemite:

You can download older versions of Chocolat here: http://chocolatapp.com/release-blog/ If you search here you can find somewhat of a workaround. It's the first paid upgrade after 4 years of development, for a major update, for $15. I think Alex made it way too cheap :P

Let me be clear that I'm not protesting a paid upgrade. What I am disappointed about is that I get an apparently free update that installs and works nicely on Mavericks, which then suddenly throws up a dialog forcing me to pay for it once I upgrade my OS to Yosemity. Had he made the upgrade a paid one up-front, it would have been a no-brainer to pay and upgrade right away, given the obvious improvements delivered by it (I may still do that if I get over my disappointment). I just don't think this is a decent way of treating your customers. BTW, thanks for the links to older versions.
