Integrate gui with sensor #9

Update the basic gui to receive and display data from the sensor.

DoD: Gui displays data received from sensor

Completed with 2524da2d90e5fb95b6ec21d7dba935f98b74a9d3 and bb259566582f973b6ffb60f6ac76a25690d7461e (and a few other small commits for typos, etc). Gui now includes the code to interface with the sensor, and can display values received from the sensor
