did you track response rate? by my experience - it's a bad bids. looks like bot replies. you should make it more catchy, more sharp.

because any one can write - self-motivated, self-made, self-orientend, self-myself. we use a same approach from start, for sure. but we made some system - that helps us. bad that my employess don't use it :( or maybe good

this projects will only work, if they similar to client vision. if he/she want a different thing - this is obsolete. So if client want to a freelance website like upwork and you don't have it in portfolio - don't post it.

try to ask question, try to catch him, try to shoot into his heart, not in his brain, because he'll receive at least 70 similar bot-like bids

I mean small is less than 500
