longears not in CRAN or its archives #7

Ah, you're right, that's misleading (although the live-updated CRAN badge does say "not published"). I've submitted it but I believe it's still under review; I would like the README to be correct when the existing version is accepted.

I've submitted it more than once before, but since the CRAN build servers do not have librabbimq installed the CRAN maintainers appear not to want to accept it (or perhaps they do not have the time to check it manually). Unfortunately, it's nontrivial to vendor librabbitmq into the package itself, as we would have to port its CMake-based build system to work with R.

I may reach out to some folks in the community to see if they can pull some strings, but other than that I don't know what to do.

The readme for this project specifically instructs to install from CRAN. misleading is stating it lightly...
