Would like this to be small, so can't have pages and pages of cloropleths
Point is just to give a general impression of what smoothing achieves
Could have two plots next to each other, one showing how smoothed estimates ensure summing-to-one, the other to show how the smoothing borrows information between times
It could also have missing data to show that benefit of the smoothed estimates
