Clean up bubble plot #58

Jeff:

I find this version of the figure quite difficult to read with the lines on the shapes so thin. I favor filled in shapes; you could use translucent to address the overlapping shape issue. Minimally, make the line on the shapes much heavier than the gridlines. And remove the minor grid lines on the 0.5 year.
