Featured download version doesn't work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download featured version
2. Generate keys; add public key on server
3. Try to connect
(4) Installing 1.7.1, keeping the settings, works.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Obviously, I would expect it to connect. Instead I get something like this in 
the server's auth.log:
sshd: error: bad decrypted len: 33 != 20 + 15

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
ConnectBot-git-master-2013-04-16_22-46-35.apk as featured on code.google.com

Proposed solution:
Provide a working version as featured download on Google Code.

Additional info:
I do not have Google Play, please don't tell me to get it there.

Same problem here using a rsa key.
No problem with a dsa key.
