Add XAPO support #514

I see that it was started and left in a non-compiling state pending
sufficient level of interest.

If the resources exist to complete this work, I've got the interest
necessary to test it. (But, sadly, do not yet have the skills to actually do
the porting.)

Probably not for July's release, anyway. Maybe August. This would be mostly
Mike.

Without audio effects support, this package has little use for me at the
moment. It
may be worth looking at finding a different effects framework, rather than DMO.
There is a functional example of using a Reaper-style effects framework (this
one in
NAudio) here: http://blogs.msdn.com/coding4fun/archive/2009/02/02/9391048.aspx
It's
worth looking into as it avoids all of the issues with DMO, and allows
developers a
much easier access to creating their own effects. Just my .02

Should be done by our next release.

XAPO is finished, but XAPOFX still needs to be done and it needs to be
integrated
with XAudio2.

Any updates on this? When do you expect the XAPO effects system will be usable
by the
XAudio2 classes?

Just started with SlimDX and was so impressed, until I hit the inability to use
effects chains with custom XAPO classes... which is a deal-breaker for me. :-(
But
I'm a big fan and am really hoping these effects are implemented and I'll be
able to
return to using SlimDX soon.

Cheers.
