we're following convention of Agile CSS framework.

where the work is been done on changing how classes work, although it's not really a simplification. You can raise issue on agiletoolkit-css to get in touch with Dmitry to find out his reasons.

this still is no argument not to reduce "atk-button atk-button-green" into "atk button green" which will result in the same behavior just with better syntax.

Again, valid argument, but relates to different product. atk boundless Agile toolkit css only.
