More clear names for "Last backup" and "Backup created." #714

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I'm always confused and frustrated when I am on several machines and a sync window pops up, and I want to check whether the setup on the current machine is newer than my recent backup or not, and get confused by which date is which.

I usually use a computer at work, computer at my house and computer at another house and I often experiment with features.

Describe the solution you'd like

Rename "Last Backup" to "Backup on this machine:" (or something similar) Rename "Backup Created" to "Backup on GitHub:"

Describe alternatives you've considered

I have tried to remember it, which one is which, and maybe this time I will succeed. But it is very confusing many times when using it. Even for me. I have made a backup yesterday and came back to work to receive a prompt, in order to check which date is which.

Additional context

Thank you.

How about "Local Backup" and "Remote Backup"?

Yaro-Maro commented 3 years ago

That definitely sounds good as well

How about this:

Last Backup -> Last Local Sync Backup Created -> Last Backup Change

Yaro-Maro commented 2 years ago

Hi, are you about to change it? That is so cool.

I feel that, however you call it, it is clearer if it says "local" and "remote" somewhere in their name.

How about: Last local sync Last remote backup ?

The way I see it is: if I read "last backup change" on its own, it won't be clear. Is it local or remote backup? Whereas if it says "last remote backup" then it's automatically clear which one it is.

I could deduce that it's remote, because the other one is local.. But if we go by the "don't make me think" principal then it is better to have' local' and 'remote' somewhere in their name. It is imidetely clear that way.

Thank you for asking!
