Port Atom packages to VSCode extensions before sunset? #25558

Can Atom Packages be ported to VS Code extensions? If not, then why not make Atom package authors make them available for VS Code? If possible, that's good for Atom package authors :)

of course, you can port the packages from atom to vs-code, but who would do that? it takes work and time. if there is a package you are interested in vs-code, write such a questions on this github repositorium.
