DO NOT USE ATOM... #25594

Windows 10 ver 1.60.0 It´s impossible to install packages and themes from settings Install in Atom I set my user password and my proxy and anything works apm config set http-proxy http://myuser:mypaswd@myproxyxx:xxx apm config set https-proxy http://myuser:mypaswd@myproxyxx:xxx apm config set strict-ssl false , also I try with false

Try witj this

C:\Users\myuser.atom>atom --proxy-server=http://myproxy Unfortunately there isn´t documentation about this issue the post was closed without solution .

Fetching featured packages failed.Hide output… tunneling socket could not be established, statusCode=407

Atom has an issue since the first versions that has not yet been resolved, it does not allow installing packages or templates. And Now I have tha issue. Atom.io doesn´t has the solution. No C:\Users\user.atom>apm install script Installing script to C:\Users\myuser.atom\packages failed Request for package information failed: tunneling socket could not be established, statusCode=407 (5 attempts) (ECONNRESET) SOLUTION. DO NOT USE ATOM

@Tita40 Well, Atom repositories will be archived anyway after 15th December, 2022. So, no sweat...!!!

Im trying to use Atom too to just open a freaken project - or any file and it just crashes. Maybe its not the best solution. Im on Manjaro Linux using the snapd package and its just not stable. Such a shame - it looks promising!
