No "check for updates" with chocolatey installations #28

If I install with zip file, there seems to be auto-updating feature and "check for updates".

Which OS are you using? As far as I know, auto-update still only works on Mac, not on Windows (chocolatey or zip), or Linux for that matter.

I am using both Windows and Mac desktop :-) Then probably I am wrong. If there is no notifications though, users won't know new version coming right the way (except that I am checking it through other channels now)

There is no auto updater on Windows, if you install through chocolatey, Atom will show a squirrel icon in the status bar with an upgrade link and clicking it will give instructions on how to update (basically just run cup Atom).

An auto updater for Windows, similar to Mac, is planned but has not been implemented yet, follow https://github.com/atom/atom/issues/2729 to know when it is added.
