Can't push from Atom to Github #2777

I signed my Atom app up to my github account today and am trying to sync my files up with it. But, whenever I try to publish them, I get this following error message.

Push rejected. The tip of your current branch is behind its remote counterpart.

I even held down the CTRL key while clicking it again and I made no success.

Help please.
