Make background pure black, and/or add config option for background color

I use dark themes because I'm extremely light sensitive. I like the highlighting colors etc of this theme compared to others, but the background isn't actually black, which means that my monitor is brighter than necessary.

Please make it black, and/or add a config setting to do so.
