Add ability to set metadata and other properties on uploaded object

Putting the object wipes out any metadata on the object that is there. We need to either maintain the existing metadata or allow user to provide metadata on object from within the repo. I think the latter would be better since that would allow a completed automated solution with all the input in the repo.
