The ones below work as expected, they all redirect to https://atomiv.org:
www.atomiv.org http://www.atomiv.org atomiv.org http://atomiv.org https://atomiv.org
HOWEVER, the case https://www.atomiv.org gives security error.
I got this response from GitHub, seems like this case they haven't covered yet but are planning to in their future releases.
Thanks for reaching out about this! We don't currently support creating a certificate that covers both your root domain and your www subdomain. We only generate a certificate for the exact domain that you specify in the custom domain input box. I will add your +1 to that feature request internally though! If you've set up a CNAME record for the www subdomain that points to your GitHub.io address username.github.io then we will redirect traffic from the www subdomain to your apex domain. Keep in mind that this redirect will only work when using a protocol-less or http:// link. Typing atomiv.org, https://atomiv.org or www.atomiv.org will load properly, but if you explicitly specify https://www.atomiv.org you will still encounter a certificate error.
So the support person added this as +1 to the feature request that they're internally working on for the future.
