Roof of room over room 38 has double set of beams/rafters #61

I think this is probably because we switched from round beams to squared ones to hold the tile roof. The central beam along the long axis of the room can stay round (it probably was a lightly-trimmed tree trunk). The lateral round beams, however, should be removed, so that the underside of this roof looks like that of the room over room 36.

The round beams are gone, but this made me realize that the flat rafters don't extend all the way to the south end of the building (probably because we extended the upper storey). Those should be extended up to the wall.

Ideally, there would also be a layer of bundled reeds between the square beams and the tiles -- as in the Sicilian farmhouse I photographed for this purpose in 2010:

But I don't know how feasible this is at this point (it'd have to be done for six different rooms), so if it's a pain, just ignore it. If you're curious about how it might look in a model, below is one of the more illustration-style models from Metaponto:

The new reed texture looks great -- we can totally use that without any major changes. There's only one minor change: in the room over room 38, you have the reeds running parallel to the roof beams (with their long axis along the slope of the roof). If you look at the two images above, the reeds run perpendicular to the beams -- so the length of the reeds runs across the slope of the roof, not along it. Basically, the texture needs to be rotated 90 degrees, and the reeds should always be perpendicular to the beams. Otherwise, this works!
