Not sure if this is doable, but i loved that optional feature in crispy doom. It gave certain demons proper blood puff colors so they don't all bleed red. It was some nice consistency!
For Doom 64 it would be:
Nightmare Imps = Purple Blood
Hell Knights = Green Blood
Lost Souls = No Blood/Gunshot Puffs (the ones you see when you shoot a wall).
