If multiple instances are running against the same metadata and notebook stores, they might not have the same stuff installed or be otherwise incompatible.
We could save instance info along with the notebook metadata in RCS, and display it somewhere, so that if a notebook fails to run, the user could maybe find the right place to run it (or at least find out why it might not run).
