I suggest the addition of a Despair/Umbral Soul combo.
1) Are abilities in question must be truly mutually exclusive?
Yes. They are absolutely and entirely mutually exclusive, as they can only be used during Astral Fire and Umbral Ice respectively. It's the same as Fire/Blizzard IV and Flare/Freeze.
2) Does this actually saves you button space?
Yes. Additionally, this means that using all the Black Mage combos puts me at an even number of abilities, which means my hotbars can finally be symmetrical.
3) Is it wild and wacky?
No. I'd go so far as to say it's common sense.
4) Is the overall level of intelligence required to execute is about as low as the floor?
Yes. You press the button to use the ability. End of story.
I'll also ask that you separate the Fire/Blizzard IV and Flare/Freeze combos into separate options and allow players to choose which icons would appear when neither are available (outside of combat, no Astral Fire/Umbral Ice), since there's no correct "order." This request is simply to allow for more personalization and to make hotbars prettier.
