Opening a new thermal properties file causes add target to crash program #76

If you open a new thermal properties file, then try to add a target, the 
program crashes.

By default, Gypsum is assumed.  If you open a thermal properties file without 
gypsum, you cannot create a target.  Changed default material to Off. You will 
have to set the material for a newly created target.
