I understand this is an issue that many are reporting. I have not been able to replicate though. When I have time, I will try and see what might be going on. Are you letting your edit screen sit for a while?
It happens a few seconds after I start typing a note. Also, I’m currently on wordpress v5.3.2 in case that’s helpful. When I installed the plugin, it said this version of wordpress hadn’t been tested, so there might have been some change?

I really like the idea of this plugin since it makes documentation on pages much easier for passing a wp site to new developers, but I kept getting this alert: "Sorry, there was an error and your notes may not have been saved." I think it might be triggered by an autosave retry loop because it kept sending the alert and eventually crashed the server with an error 500 (sorry I don't have access to the server logs!). Ended up having to remove the plugin unfortunately. Would it be possible for it to stop retrying on failure / alert saying that you should save through "update draft" / "publish"?
