Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.2

An enhanced music CD, with 20 minutes of video content, is ignored by Audacious...like it's not there. For what it's worth as a clue, Asunder CD ripper fails to see it either. Thinking that the CD had gone bad, I put it in my DVD/CD player, connected to the television, and both audio and video played without problem. I've raided the Software Manager, installing various codecs and plugins, but without success. Any ideas?

Audacious plays only audio CDs, not video.
