unclear gender of DIN 41524 illustration #49

Hi,

The illustration of pin positions on this page refers to a DIN 41524, but it doesn't say whether it's a drawing of a male one or a female one. The DIN 41524 standard appears to refer to both. I'm pretty sure this drawing is male, but it should say so clearly. If it was female, pins 4 & 5 would be swapped. (The word "pins" is often used to refer to the sockets on a female connector (though it's not technically correct), so just saying "pins" is not clear IMO.)

That’s a good point. The illustration could be more clear, and could be labelled more precisely.

That's clearer, definitely.

It might possibly be even clearer to have labeled male & female drawings both side by side. But that's more work too.

But yeah even just the subtitle is a big improvement IMHO.
