To get a homogenous view I think it would be good to get the most dominant color and just put it. Just like philips hue.

Hi, I could implement this as a second selectable behavior. I'll look into it.

I'd like to second this request 👍 this would do two things to me:

Make the whole experience a bit easier on the eyes (i'm using this only on the corsair k95, and its very busy right now)
Decrease CPU usage (as right now it takes a lot of CPU, to the point where my mouse becomes unresponsive at times)

I'll definitely implement it in a coming release, I just need to find some time x), but I really like the idea and the improvements it could bring.
