Bonjour, I use these:

However, as you can see it looks a bit like unreadable crap:

...it would be technologically very cool if your extension could replace the "transparent notifications" extension by providing transparency AND blur for notifications. Just stating a wish here ;)

Ho, that's a cool feature I would love to add! And I believe that (even if it could be really buggy), it should not be too hard -- but I'm not sure about this. Well, I can't work on this now, but it is definitively a feature I will look at!

This and adding it to all GTK objects eventually would be totally sick. Like blur behind menus would be super nice.

With #35, something like this will maybe be possible (or at least a lot easier to achieve) :)

CorvetteCole commented 3 years ago

can confirm, #39 will be able to track the notification throughout it's animation cycle, although may require some tweaking in the final implementation.

aunetx commented 3 years ago

That will be really cool!!

I went ahead and assigned myself to this since it is a bit more in my wheelhouse (moving objects)

Ik I am reviving an old thread but that's one of the visual elements that need to be fixed by the magic of the blur! Maybe when pipelines are mostly done and multi monitor is resolved 👀
