Application blurring issues under Mutter + triple buffering (and asking for plans to blur more panel elements). #581

Hi, I have been using successfully the extension for the whole shell, including the experimental "Application blur" for the gnome-terminal window with great results. My system config is:

OS: Fedora 39 (GNOME 45.5) CPU: Ryzen 7 5700U GPU: AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 iGPU (AMDGPU driver). SSD: Corsair MP600 Mini 1TB (NVMe PCIe 4.0 but using a PCIe 3.0 slot) Screen: 1080p 60Hz integrated laptop screen (Vsync enabled in MESA).

But, when I switch to a patched gnome version that uses triple buffering in Mutter (https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/trixieua/mutter-patched/) some glitches start to appear (some lines in the gnome terminal appear with a darker background and some random blinking of the background when moving around the window across the desktop). I tried to solve it with the "no artifacts" option but it just disables blur in the terminal window.

I know it is a experimental feature, but since triple buffering for mutter by default appears to be imminent (https://www.phoronix.com/news/GNOME-Triple-Buffering-Ready), I wanted to give you the information so you can work on improve the new feature with this in mind.

For now I will deactivate the Applications blur, since I only use it for one application and I would rather have performance over a bit of aesthetics. But I hope this info is useful to further develop the extension.

Thank you very much for your attention, best regards,

JM.

PD.: Any plans to blur the top panel's pop ups (notifications, calendar/notifications panel, quick settings panel...)?
