Weird blur artifacts when dynamic blur is used #643

Open Nekothegamer opened 3 months ago

Updated and the blur is fixed, but now there are some weird greyed-out areas around some of the areas of the panel and around text buttons

i have to confess i did started to get this issue after messing with the settings so it may also be just that, if that's the case I'd like to know if there's a fix for that

Video del 2024-08-19 17-52-01.webm

(i know it's hard to see from this video but if you look closely there are some weird grey boxes around button and text areas, especially on the vitals button on the right)

EDIT: Ok, turns out that's what happens when i use dynamic blur instead of static, because i used dynamic blur on dash to dock and it gave me the exact same problem. Why does this though? it's very strange

Have you tried setting hacking level to "without artifacts" or switching to static blur?

Nekothegamer commented 2 months ago

i tried the "without artifacts" setting, and it does work, but the dock edges become squared instead of the normal round

Xsanos commented 2 months ago

So you are type of person who likes these rounded edges, alr. Check the "processes" if there is any pipeline. Probably there is the default preset. There should be gaussian blur effect and edge effect from shapes obraz Here are my options if they would help you obraz obraz obraz

Btw I got no problem with dynamic blur on dock And Im recommending you using "without artifacts"

Nekothegamer commented 2 months ago

@Xsanos not to be passive-aggressive or annoying, but maybe could you publish english screenshots? i don't understand polish

Nekothegamer commented 2 months ago

i actually understood what you were trying to convey with those screenshots, and i get it, but the issue still stands, which is that when i use dynamic blur i get artifacts, and while with the "without artifacts" setting i don't get any on the panel i still get those weird angled borders on the dock

All right, I have had this problem too but I just deleted edges effect. Maybe the "overwrite the background" setting causes problem with edges

Nekothegamer commented 2 months ago

no, you don't you don't understand, pipelines don't work with dynamic blur, so i have no way to turn off eventual edges i put on my pipeline simply because dynamic blur doesn't use pipelines

and for your information this is what the dock looks like with dynamic blur and the overwrite background setting turned off

see? the squared edges are still there

Almost got it Here are the settings in english. But you need adjust some for yourself.

If you want blurred rounded dock:

image image image

And dont forget about autohide! "Always on top" for normal using or "only maximized windows" for gaming otherwise it will appear in game image

If you want transparent dock (not rounded)
