We currently have a shortage of moderating staff in the server. By creating an application command that functions similar to an ID or a Profile, it would streamline the application process immensely. This feature would allow mod applications to be compared and discussed within discord rather than using an external form (such as Google Forms) to collect and manage information.
Description
This feature uses two commands: One is an article with a list of information and instructions, and the other is similar to 'Chloe ID create' but it can be used by anyone. (Once a user has submitted an application, until it has been reviewed and accepted/declined, the user cannot submit another. It might be a good idea to allow the user to edit their submitted application, if possible.)
The required information is as follows.
Username + user ID
Spoken languages (list all known, and specify proficiency with each)
Time zone
Relevant experience (including past experience as a moderator, positions requiring mediation)
Specific scenarios ("if x problem arose, how would you solve it?")
Self-evaluation ("What qualities would make you a good moderator?")
Referral (if someone told the user to apply, those reviewing the application could talk to the one making the referral)
Applications would be filled out via DMs, similar to the process for ID creation.
Context
We need more mods, quite honestly, given how active the server is and how much is constantly happening. It would be great if this feature could be implemented soon enough to start training mods.
