Device (phone) brand: Google (LG)
Device (phone) model: Nexus 4
Android OS version: KitKat
App version number: 4.4.2
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure to read email notifications (my email app is Maildroid)
2. Play audio, wait for incoming email
3. Media pauses, notification is read

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

At end of reading, media should restart, instead it remains paused.

Please provide any additional information below.

SMS reading is OK and does restart media.

I thought I replied to this and just noticed I had not. Sorry about that.

I use some common methods to manage the pause and restart of the music.
Unfortunately it seems that different players have used these interfaces
differently. Pandora is the worst. They seem to change it too. I can't keep
up. I tried for a while but every Pandora release seemed to bring another
change that broke things, mostly with launching a specific play list and
closing down the player. Google Play Music often just puts the music in the
background while the text reads. Others do different things. I was able to
get Google Play Music to work correctly. I now use Google Play Music as it
seems to work best and I also like the instant mixes for driving since it
requires far less driver interaction. It also works good with voice commanding
music (finally).

Since the players work differently, just toggle the pause on the Bluetooth
streaming control for now. I will look into a better solution when I update
for lollipop.
