joomla upgradation to 2.5 caused error Call to a member function get() on a non-object #35

.i upgraded to joomla 2.5 and i got the following error
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in 
public_html/libraries/gantry/gantry.php on line 267

please provide the solution..
i am banging my head on it since hours now.

i expect to see my site running back

joomla 2.5.6, php 5.3..evrything is latest
