Russian capital letter И causes error #6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Translate some string and type Russian capital letter И (UTF-8) in 
translation.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After refreshing page strings are not shown.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0 on FreeBSD 8.4-amd64-20130725
