Overall I like Austin's app very much.

1. It is a very handy dashboard designed for visualizing crucial highway infrastructure across the United States. It offers a neat way for anyone to explore info on US Interstate/Numbered/State highway bridges. Using heatmaps and scatterplots makes it very friendly to its users and in general I think Austin made a great choice in terms of what type visualization will work the best
2. Given such a short duration, I believe Austin has done a great job on this assignment. I would recommend considering adding some cache or storage for user preferences in the future to avoid choosing all the selections again when the page is refreshed. That's a great app that I would definitely like to use.

This app is fantastically done, definitely resume worthy. Well done Austin!

Some small suggestions:

• The bridge length slider is a little cluttered, it's hard to tell exactly what the last two values are. Could this be stretched out or rotated?
• Could you put the render link in the about section to make the render link faster to find?
• Could you make it so that when selecting a single state, the "all" tag is reactively removed automatically? Not sure if this is possible but it is something to look in to. As it is now, in order to see a specific state, we need to both select the state and deselect all which is a little counterintuitive.

An amazing app! I really like the clean UI. I think that using multiple tabs was a great way to split things up. Some things you could consider implementing:

• The ability to choose the granularity of the heatmap. It would be cool if we could compare mean bridge ratings on a state-by-state basis instead of the default of county-by-county.
• Perhaps you could give the ability to manually type in your desired bridge lengths instead of having to use a slider to specify a range.

Overall I think this is an excellent app!
