Italic word #5

Hi, I don't know if it is a bug or it is so by design but when I try to put some words in italic format it does a line break and puts a bar above and another one below.

If this is so by design, how can I put text in italic format?

You can try hello world in some post to see what I tell him.

Sorry, I'm doing my blog right now and I can't pass you a url for you to see.

Hi, @jorgemhtdev!

This is not by design. Can you share the markdown for how you're decorating text to be italic? I was able to get italic words using *this is in italics* without the additional horizontal rule and line break using this theme on my personal website.
